I N E V E R Y T H I N G // This season has been QUITE the journey, but through it all, I think my biggest takeaway is that God is really teaching me to enjoy the process. He reminds me daily that He isn’t a vending machine, a God of immediate results, a God who gives you what you want when you want it.
He is a God of process, who works in his own perfect timing. He’s my good father who actually seeks to shower my life with more that I could ever imagine; yet, in my stubbornness I keep trying to limit his omnipotence and essentially try to be the god of my own life.
When I don’t see things going how I imagined, I act childish and get upset at Him. I’m humbled as I am reminded this morning that He did not call me to childish faith, but that He calls me to have childlike faith. As I look back at these last several months, I am amazed that in my darkest moments, He pulled through.
So, instead of wondering if He has forsaken me and left me to suffer, I stand in wonder at my God who somehow takes the hardest moments of my life and transforms them into powerful testimonies of His great power.
My unwinding is far from over and my impatient self has a long way to go in learning about how to enjoy the process, but this morning He gifts me with a reminder of goodness and brings peace into the depths of my heart.
Through all of the ups and the downs, in all of my joys and tribulations - God, you are still good.

Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

God ultimately raises up leaders for one primary reason: His glory. He shows His power in our weakness. He demonstrates His wisdom in our folly. We are all like a turtle on a fence post. If you walk by a fence post and see a turtle on top of it, then you know someone came by and put it there. In the same way, God gives leadership according to His good pleasure.
